2:08 pm . jeremy
don't find the knowledge so remarkable,
amuse the vices i choose to keep
sleep by the lounge for
a moment or more.

but the telephone doesn't stop ringing
to remind there's somewhere
else i'd rather be.
turn the tables, turn them back
use the voiceless reasoning to steal
& i'm still the same person
from a minute ago.

notice the way you
try to keep a step ahead,
know that it's useless
i've been there before.

stare down the hallway
laden with light, mystery
though every corner is plain,
decisions made by finding the morning
to avoid the choices,
it's too much today.
